Rocketeers Childcare is always recruiting! This fast-growing wraparound care provider is recruiting for playworkers and deputy managers. We are a local company, providing wraparound care on site in primary schools throughout Horsham. We are looking for people interested in a career in childcare to join our diverse and friendly team.

Job Title: Playworker
Location: Horsham, West Sussex Hours: 28.75 hours per week
7.00am – 9.00am (Before School)
2.30pm – 6.15pm (After School)
Salary: £19,255 pro rata

The Role
Our playworkers are passionate, enthusiastic and see play work as more than just a job. You do not necessarily need qualifications, we will train you if you can demonstrate the right qualities for this role! If you love working with children and are eager to learn, you can become part of the Rocketeers team.
Duties & Responsibilities not restricted to:
- Plan activities with the children
- Organise play areas, materials and equipment
- Give children the freedom to spend their leisure time in their own way
- Encourage fair and caring behaviour among the children
- Encourage independence and self-esteem
- Ensure Safeguarding procedures are adhered to
- All employees must undertake a DBS check and have a valid UK drivers’ licence.

Job Title: Out of School Club Manager
Out of School Club Manager – Term Time Only
Inspiring Play, Leading Teams, Making a Difference
Location: Horsham, West Sussex Hours: 30 hours per week
- 7.00am – 9.00am (Before School)
- 2.30pm – 6.15pm (After School)
- Plus 1.25 hours per week working from home for planning and admin
Salary: £23,400 pro rata

As our Club Manager, you will:

- Build positive relationships with parents, schools, and the wider community
- Manage registers, paperwork, and compliance with Ofsted and company policies
- Keep the play space welcoming, organised, and safe for all
- Promote a culture where children’s voices are heard and respected
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in working in a childcare or play based setting
- Passionate about working with children and committed to their safety and wellbeing
- A natural leader with good communication and teamwork skills
- Organised and confident with administration and basic IT
- Calm under pressure, with a sense of fun and creativity

HR & Compliance Administrator (Part-Time)
Location: Home-based (with occasional site visits in Horsham and surrounding areas)
Hours: 20 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

We’re passionate about creating safe, supportive, and inspiring environments for children — and that starts with having an organised, friendly, and reliable team behind the scenes.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and approachable HR & Compliance Administrator to help keep our staff records, recruitment checks, and training information up to date. You’ll play a key role in supporting our General Manager and wider team to make sure everything runs smoothly and meets Ofsted and company standards.
The Role
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding for new staff
- Preparing contracts and HR documents
- Carrying out DBS, reference and right-to-work checks
- Keeping accurate and confidential employee records
- Tracking staff training and sending renewal reminders
- Helping with site compliance checks and audits
- Updating company policies and keeping shared folders tidy and up to date
- Maintaining the company calendar and meeting notes
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experience in HR or office administration (childcare or education experience helpful but not essential)
- Highly organised and comfortable managing several admin tasks at once
- Confident using Microsoft 365 and online systems
- Excellent attention to detail and clear communication skills
- Discreet and professional, understanding the importance of confidentiality
- A team player who takes pride in doing things properly
